There will be several “Summer Jam” dates to work on music for the coming year’s Youth Masses:  July 31st and August 7th and 21st.

Ascension Council Knights of Columbus and the Cursillo Community of Sacred Heart will be having a Family Pool Party and Picnic at the home of George and Michelle Darnell on Sunday, July 27, starting at 2:00 p.m.  All current and prospective Knights and Cursillistas and their families are welcome. Bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share.  The Darnells will supply the hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, wine, and soft drinks.  If you have special favorites or dietary needs, bring your own.  Call George or Michelle Darnell, 703-791-5153, to RSVP and for more information.

Friday, Aug. 15: The Fiery Stranger - Josh and his friends bring Paul the Apostle into present time—before his conversion!
Friday, Aug. 22The Lost Prophet - Josh has to face a tough choice - save himself or his father - when Daniel and a lion appear!
We will begin in the parish hall at 10 a.m. selling popcorn, soda, etc.  The movie will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m. and will end at 11 a.m. …..and did I mention, IT’S FREE!?!

The Women of Sacred Heart are sponsoring a School Supply Drive for area needy children.  We are collecting composition books, crayons, #2 lead pencils, binders, backpacks, colored pencils, glue sticks, scissors, 3x5 index cards, Ziploc bags, pocket folders (see detailed list in WOSH bulletin board or on the drop box in the commons area).  The School Supplies will be delivered to SERVE, ACTS and Hilda Barg for the children living in the shelters as well as other needy children in Prince William County.  Please drop off these supplies by Sunday August 24th.

 

Parish Pictorial Directories are available in the parish office. Those who had pictures taken may pick up their directory in the parish office during the week. If you did not have your picture taken, but would like a directory, we have a few extras available for $10.00 each.
