Sacred Heart promotes and encourages parishioners to get involved in various respect-life activities. The Respect-Life committee defends life from conception to natural death. Issues we would like to offer more support to are: abortion, euthanasia, immigration concerns, ending the death penalty, special needs awareness, controls on solitary confinement for prisoners. If you have suggestions on other issues of concern please let us know.
The committee meets monthly from August through May, on the fourth Wednesday. For your convenience we will have 2 meetings one at 9:45 am and one at 7:30 pm. For more information, call Dianne at the parish office, 703.590.0030.
Would you like to know what Sacred Heart is doing with Respect Life but do not want to attend meetings? Email [email protected] to be added to our email list.
On the first Sunday in October we gather with other pro-life supporters and line the road, silently holding uniform pro-life signs in a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian Community.
