Where Prayerful Hearts Serve With Love

American Heritage Girls

Changing Girls’ Lives and Leading Them Towards a

More Christ-Centered Life.

American Heritage Girls (AHG) was founded by a group of parents wanting a faith-based, scout-type character development program for their daughters in 1995. The AHG Program is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. AHG girls across the nation and the globe participate in badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences, all with an emphasis on  Christian values and family involvement. 5 to 18 years of age. AHG is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country.

AHG Troop VA0614 was founded in 2016 at Sacred Heart with 5 families!

We meet on Wednesdays from 4:30-6pm in the Parish Hall

In following the motto of FAITH SERVICE FUN, we help with the Sacred Heart food pantry, sell and lay wreaths for Wreaths Across America, make pancakes for meatless meals, pack boxes for Box of Joy, camp, bake, lead, pray and so much more!!!

Do you have a daughter interested in joining AHG? Or do you have something you could share/teach our girls?  Please contact Jennifer Gilley, Troop Coordinator at [email protected] or 757-553-7823

These Flags will be respectfully retired during a Flag Retirement Ceremony that will be conducted by Elena Burset, a Pioneer in Sacred Heart’s American Heritage Girls Troop, VA 0614, so she may earn the Harriet Tubman Award.
