Youth Ministry

We envision our young people deepening their personal relationship and discipleship with Jesus Christ, understanding and loving the Church He established, developing Christian friendships, and growing in virtue
in a non-threatening yet challenging way.

High School

All 9th - 12th graders are welcome to attend High School Youth Group on Sundays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  We gather for dinner, games, friendship, discussions about our faith, and living our faith in this sometimes-challenging world.  Service is also an important part of what we do.  We do service projects both at Sacred Heart and out in the community.  High School Youth Group is open to all high school teens.  Friends are welcome regardless of faith.

Middle School

All 6th - 8th graders in the parish are invited to participate in the Middle School Youth Group.  We meet every other Sunday from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm in the parish hall.  Our goal is to allow our middle school youth to interact with Catholic friends who share their beliefs and can encourage them to live a Christian life.  Our meetings consist of playing games, learning about our faith, and doing service projects at Sacred Heart.

Annual Diocesan Events

RALLY (Late October) – This annual event is an opportunity for the high schoolers of the Diocese of Arlington to gather each year to pray, learn, and celebrate the Catholic faith.  RALLY includes Mass with Bishop Burbidge, Eucharistic Adoration, inspirational speakers and entertainers, breakout sessions, inflatable games, music, and more!

Life is VERY Good – The Diocese of Arlington invites you to join thousands of participants from across the country at Life is VERY Good in January.  Life is VERY Good is held at the EagleBank Arena and is an evening of prayer for the success of the March for Life to change our hearts and those of others in this country.

BASH (Early May) – Is the largest gathering of Catholic middle school students (6th - 8th grades) every year!  This event is a celebration of our Catholic faith and love of the Lord.  The event includes music, games, inspirational speakers, confessions, and a Vigil Mass for Sunday.

Steubenville Youth Conferences – In our ever-changing world, Jesus is the answer to the longing of our hearts for meaning, fulfillment, security, and love.  Join hundreds of Catholic teens at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio in July to experience the peace of Jesus Christ, who is our refuge and never wearies of loving us.  All rising freshmen in high school through rising freshmen in college are invited to attend this retreat.
